To be effective in workplace and community contexts where diversity is more than just a slogan, leaders need to become skillful in creating spaces where truths can be spoken, differences in perspective and worldview can find legitimate ways into conversations, and pragmatic ways forward can be co-created across differences. Strong facilitative leadership skills and the ability to work with polarization are a key part of the long path towards justice, equity and decolonization. This course provides a lens for understanding group dynamics, teaches skills for steering discussions and making lasting decisions, and tools for engaging with tensions and learning the deeper lessons of conflict. This course is the internationally recognized Level One training in the Lewis Method of Deep Democracy, developed in post-apartheid South Africa and practiced in over 20 countries around the world. Can be two full-day sessions or four half-day sessions. Connect to inquire about scheduling this training for your workplace or team.
